As a rate payer, I have attended numerous TUD meetings, trying to figure out why my TUD bill seems so high. I have learned that there are many reasons for this. Among them, the aging ditch and storage system needs much work. Managing wildfire and storm risk is also an issue. I will work toward solutions for these and
other problems.
I grew up on an almond farm, we got irrigation water every two weeks. Without that water our crops would have withered. I learned at a young age that water is life. My time on the farm prepared me well for a thirty year career in engineering management followed by twenty two years as a general contractor. I retired in 2023.
I am a doer, not at talker. My years of experience in project management and budget control should help to keep costs in line. As your District 3 TUD Director I
will approach this as I do every project, by giving it my all.
I respectfully ask for your vote so that I can start .
I believe in community service. I see running for the TUD board as a community service.
Since retiring I volunteer at three different non profits in the area. I have served on the boards of two of them. In Sonora I worked with three others for one year to outfit a laundry bus. I now help run laundry and shower buses weekly to provide services to the homeless.
We started an all volunteer Alzheimers center nineteen years ago. We have grown from eighteen members to over six hundred.
